A 2027 product roadmap and company update from Dan, founder of Broom & Stripes Co.
When I started Broom & Stripes Co., the goal was simple: make professional-looking lawn stripes more accessible to everyday homeowners without requiring complicated, expensive equipment. What began with one lawn striping attachment has grown into a business with two products, multiple national online sales channels, and a much bigger vision for what comes next.
As we prepare for the 2027 mowing season, I want to share what we learned during our first year, how we're preparing for spring, and the products we're working on next.

2026: From a Product Idea to Lawns Across America
Our first commercial season took us from developing and launching the Broominator lawn striping kit for riding and zero-turn mowers to introducing Broominator JR for compatible push and walk-behind mowers.
Customers have been sharing their striped lawns, installation experiences, and ideas for improving our products. We've also established online distribution through BroomStripes.com, Lowe's online, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, and TikTok Shop. Those milestones matter to a small, founder-led American company—and so does the trust behind every order.
What We Learned from Our First Season
Not everything went as planned. Manufacturing delays and production issues affected inventory availability and caused some orders to take longer than expected. We know those delays were frustrating, and we appreciate the patience of customers who supported us through them.
We're taking those lessons into 2027 with a stronger focus on production consistency, product refinements, and stocking inventory ahead of peak mowing season. Our goal is simple: better preparation and a smoother experience from order to lawn.
Broominator V2: Building a Better Riding-Mower Striping Attachment
For 2027, we're working on refinements to our original hitch-mounted lawn striper. The Broominator uses an adjustable broom-style system to create mowing stripes without relying on a traditional heavy roller. It is designed for riding mowers and zero-turns with a compatible rear hitch or mounting point.

Customer feedback and real-world mowing have guided opportunities to refine usability and production. We're planning for improved availability in the spring, although final specifications, production quantities, and timing remain subject to development and manufacturing.
Want stripes with your current riding mower? Explore Broominator and check your mower's hitch setup before ordering.
Broominator JR: Lawn Striping for Push Mowers
Broominator JR extends the concept to compatible push and walk-behind mowers. Unlike the riding-mower hitch system, JR uses an adjustable handlebar-mounted design. We've tested it on several mower configurations, including EGO models, and we're continuing to document actual fit and performance.

In 2027, we'll keep collecting installation feedback and customer photos, improving compatibility guidance, and showing how different mower and broom combinations perform.
Already own JR? Send us your mower model, installation photos, and finished lawn stripes through our contact page. Your experience can help other customers choose the right setup. You can also read our broom-size recommendations guide.
Beyond Striping: The Broominator Lawn-Care Attachment Roadmap
Lawn striping is our starting point, not the end of the plan. We're developing the riding-mower hitch platform with the goal of supporting additional practical lawn-care attachments over time.
Dethatcher: Our Next Product in Development
We're currently working on a hitch-mounted dethatcher concept. When excessive thatch is present, dethatching can be a useful part of a broader turf-care program. This attachment is still being developed and tested; it isn't available for purchase, and we haven't announced a release date.
Aeration: Exploring Future Possibilities
We're also researching an aeration accessory for the riding-mower platform. Aeration can be useful for certain soil and turf conditions, but our concept remains in early research and development. We won't promise a launch until the design, performance, and manufacturing are validated.
Preparing American Manufacturing and Fulfillment for 2027
We're working with Noble Industries in Indiana as part of our next manufacturing chapter. We are also evaluating improvements to storage and order fulfillment to better support busy mowing months and multiple retail channels.
Our priority is to make the buying experience as reliable as the result customers are trying to achieve. Having the right product available at the right time is a lesson we intend to carry into every future launch.
Growing Retail Distribution and Industry Relationships
We've established online availability through several major retail marketplaces and are exploring additional distribution opportunities, including potential physical retail placement and collaborations with outdoor-power-equipment businesses. Those conversations are opportunities—not announced partnerships or guaranteed placements.
As our product family grows, our focus will remain on practical engineering, real customer feedback, and products homeowners can use with equipment they already own.

Thank You for Helping Us Build Broom & Stripes Co.
I started this company while balancing my nursing career and family life, and the first year has taught me as much about manufacturing, customer service, and persistence as it has about mowing lawns.
Every order, customer photo, review, and constructive suggestion has helped shape what we're building. We're entering 2027 with more experience, a clearer roadmap, and a commitment to do the fundamentals better.
We're excited to improve Broominator, grow JR, and explore what else a versatile riding-mower attachment platform can become.
